Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
5 Element Energy Systems LLC, doing business as 5 Element Energy and Environmental Systems ("5E", "we", "us"), runs 5elementenergy.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you send a message through our contact form, we collect:
- your first and last name and email address;
- your phone number, if you choose to give it;
- the subject you pick and your message.
With each message we also record the country it was sent from (worked out by our hosting provider from your internet address) and your browser type. We use these only to spot spam and abuse. We don't store your internet address.
Information collected automatically
We don't use analytics or advertising trackers. Some information is still processed when you visit:
- Hosting. Our site, including its images and videos, runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as your internet address and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Spam protection. The contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It runs in your browser and sends Cloudflare information about your browser, device and internet address.
- Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your internet address and browser information when a page loads.
- Private pages. Some pages (for example investor information) are only for people we have invited. To open one, you enter your email address and we send you a one-time sign-in code. When you sign in we set one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; it holds a random identifier, not your personal details. We set no other cookies. We keep a record of sign-ins and of which private pages were opened (email address, time, and the country worked out from your internet address) so we can manage who has access.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to read and answer your message, send you an automatic confirmation that we received it, keep a record of our correspondence, and protect the form from spam.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run the site and our email, and only so they can do that work:
- Cloudflare: hosting, storing contact-form messages, sending our emails, and spam protection.
- Microsoft: the Microsoft 365 mailbox where your messages are delivered to us.
- Google: Google Fonts.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Donations
Donation links on our site take you to Stripe, which processes your payment. We don't see or store your card details. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the information you give it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form messages for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep reasonable records of our correspondence. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to other organizations' websites, such as news sources and government reports. When you visit another site, its own privacy policy applies.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has sent us personal information, we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
